Vodafone employees are raising £1 million for Vodafone Foundation's Girl Fund, which is supporting charitable programmes that use technology to address some of the biggest issues affecting girls today.

Story

Did you know 130 million girls remain out of school? Or that 1 in 3 girls will experience abuse in her lifetime? In February 2020, I will climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's tallest freestanding mountain and the highest in Africa, to raise money for Vodafone Foundation's Girl Fund. I have chosen to #ShineALight for girls to raise awareness of the huge challenges girls around the world face. Every penny you donate will be channelled into Vodafone Foundation’s Girl Fund, a restricted fund dedicated to supporting charitable programmes that improve girls’ access to education, informal learning and health services in countries where Vodafone operates.
Two of the charities that will be supported through the Girl Fund are Help Refugees (www.helprefugees.org) and The Red Box Project (www.redboxproject.org)                                                                                                                                          Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference to improve the lives of vulnerable girls. Thank you!
