Notre défi

Le 18 mai prochain, 21 collaborateurs de Cushman et Wakefield Paris participeront à la Marche de la Bièvre, une marche nocturne de 50 km ( !) au départ de la cathédrale Notre -Dame de Paris jusqu’à Saint- Cyr l’École, près de Versailles.

Cette « petite promenade de santé » a pour but de collecter des fonds en faveur de l’association caritative de notre société, Schools Around The World (SATW). Cette balade devrait nous prendre environ 10 heures ...

L’équipe se compose de :

Ariane Menu, Audrey Wozniak, David Drapied, Diane Samuyllo, Elise Lefebvre, Jessica Golby, Joanna Begg, Jonathan Lamidel, Marie-Laure Herrault, Melchior de la Pomelie, Melinda Langler, Nathalie Laugeois, Nicholas Jordan, Nicholas Treich, Olimpia Rychlicki, Pierre-Yves Jactat, Stéphanie Rade, Thierry Juteau, Rime Berragaya Benjamin Liévin et Vilma Segonds.

Un mot sur SATW

En France, SATW a choisi de soutenir l’association La Vie Au Grand Air (www.lavieaugrandair.fr) qui œuvre pour l’aide sociale à l’enfance.

SATW France soutient trois pavillons situés dans le sud de Paris, où sont hébergés des enfants et des jeunes âgés de 6 à 17 ans ainsi que des appartements pour des étudiants âgés de 17 à 21 ans. Ces enfants et ces jeunes ont été confiés à notre partenaire, La Vie Au Grand Air, par les services de l'aide sociale à l'enfance (placement administratif) ou les juges des enfants (placement judiciaire) en raison des difficultés rencontrées par leur famille.

Au cours des 12 derniers mois, nous avons d’ores et déjà accompli trois des quatre projets entrepris en faveur de La Vie Au Grand Air. Les projets réalisés incluent la réfection d’une salle d’études et de loisirs (peinture, ameublement), la rénovation des extérieurs d’un deuxième pavillon (cour de jeux, façade avant, terrasse et amélioration des espaces verts), fourniture et installation de 3 ordinateurs dans les appartements accueillant les jeunes adultes. Le 4ème projet en cours porte sur la rénovation de 5 chambres d’un troisième pavillon.

En dehors de l'État, nous sommes une des rares sociétés à leur fournir des ressources humaines et financières supplémentaires. Pour continuer à soutenir ces enfants et ces jeunes, nous organisons différentes actions dans le but de récolter le plus de dons possible.
En acceptant de nous parrainer pour cette marche, nous faisons appel à votre générosité et insistons sur le fait qu’il n’y a pas de petit don : tout montant offert est grandement apprécié.

Nous avons ciblé la somme de 5 000 euros à atteindre pour cette action.

The Challenge

On 18 May, 21 colleagues from Cushman and Wakefield Paris will be taking part in the Marche de la Bievre, a 50km walk throughout the night from Notre Dame in Paris to Saint Cyr de l’Ecole, just past Versailles.

This “jolly jaunt” is being undertaken to raise funds for Cushman & Wakefield’s own charity, Schools Around the World (SATW) and the total walking time will be more than ten hours!

A word on SATW

In France,  Schools Around the World France supports the French organisation La Vie Au Grand Air (www.lavieaugrandair.fr) which provides social care and support for children and young adults in need.

SATW France supports 3 boarding houses in southern Paris for children aged 7-17 as well as apartments for elder students aged 17-21. These young people have been placed in care with our partner, La Vie Au Grand Air, by social services or by a youth judge, due to difficulties encountered in their family life.

In the last 12 months, we have completed three of our four projects with La Vie Au Grand Air. The completed projects include for one boarding house the redecoration of  a study room (redecoration and furniture), the renovation of exterior areas of a second boarding house (games court, building façade and entrance, wooden terrace and landscaping of green areas), and the supply and installation of three computers in the apartments for the elder students. The fourth project currently underway is for the redecoration of 5 bedrooms of the third boarding houses in an “Around the World” style! More projects are being identified!

Outside the state funding, we are one of very few organisations to provide additional resources and help  and we continue to find new ways to raise money for this very worthy cause.
