I am trying to raise enough money to Pay For A Day at Claire House Children's Hospice. Last year I ran the London Marathon and raised a massive £4,495 pounds. Thank you to everyone who donated. The target is £6,500. I ran 47 miles in the Ultramarathon on 26th March and now my next challenge is the Coast to Coast bike ride on 25th June 2016..

Libby is the daughter of my friends Dave and Pip O’Brien, and died from cancer in 2009,

Their daughter Libby was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma aged 16 months in 2008. Following a year of therapy and numerous surgical interventions it was established the cancer was incurable.

Having spent a family respite weekend at Claire House in May 2009 they decided they wanted to be at the hospice for Libby’s end of life care, and the care shown to Libby during her last eight days was excellent. Her medical needs were taken care of, which allowed Libby’s parents and son Ben the unforgettable opportunity to be nothing more than her mummy, brother and daddy.

 Claire House were there to help them. The care shown to Libby and them all as a family during what was an extremely distressing time was excellent.

Claire House has continued to support them through their bereavement and I have witnessed how amazing and necessary this has been. I visited the Wirral hospice and was ‘blown away’ by the staff’s care and commitment to children and their loved ones.
