White Water Rafting · 27 March 2010

We believe that no life should be half lived. 1 in 5 people in Scotland are struggling with a chest, heart or stroke condition. We won't live with that. Join us to support people to live life to the full. #NoLifeHalfLived

Story

The SCARF team are hoping to take part in a sponsored White Water Rafting race in mid-March to raise money for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. The race will be on the river Tay with a 3 mile run. We are keen to get involved with this event as CHSS has helped many SCARF clients over the years who needed immediate and practical assistance.

We would be most grateful for any donations large or small to contribute to the event and have decided to award the eight most generous contributors by displaying their logos on our t-shirts.

In order to take part, the team will need:

£100 for paddles

£125 per person for 8 people to row the boat, totalling £1000.

Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland is a real benefit to the local community and funds research into all aspects of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and the social impact of chest, heart and stroke illness.

They provide care and support throughout Scotland for people affected by these conditions, as well as their families and other carers. Their Community Support Network brings practical help and advice to those whose need is greatest. CHSS’s  welfare grant programme provides direct financial aid to help patients and their families with some of the practicalities of living with a debilitating illness.
