We Help people with Down's syndrome have to the same opportunities as everyone else

Story

Members of SDSG have had little face to face contact since the start of the Covid Pandemic. Speech therapy and activities including Football, Swimming, Tennis, and Youth Club have been suspended.

To keep our spirits up we have decided to make a virtual Christmas Carol by making videos whilst singing or signing a popular Christmas song.

We will release the video on Facebook in December (and other social media channels) whilst raising money for Speech and Language Therapy for our children and young people.

Speech and Language Therapy is so vital for our children and young people and needs to become part of their everyday routine and brought into everyday situations.  It's about making it fun and normal, not different.  This is why, as Trustees, we have had to 'think outside the box' and we have continued to provide this service throughout COVID-19.  We have found a way to make it possible to deliver Speech and Language Therapy virtually.

About the charity

A £35 donation would pay for a week's Speech and Language Therapy for 1 child with Down's Syndrome. One of the greatest barriers for children with Down's syndrome in assessing their local community is difficulty with Speech and Language.
