Race to Save Sea Turtles with SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium!

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium's Race to Save Turtles! · 1 October 2018
Hello and welcome to our JustGiving page!
With support from SEA LIFE Trust, we've had the incredible opportunity to release sea turtles as part of a migration marathon called Tour de Turtles! This "race" is a fun, educational way to share the science, research and geography of sea turtle migration using satellite tracking.
In July 2018, we released a green sea turtle (named Little Money!) in the Florida Keys. She was rescued near Little Money Key, successfully rehabilitated at The Turtle Hospital and is currently competing in Tour de Turtles to create awareness about safe boating practices.
While Little Money remains in last place, we couldn't be more proud that she's safe and showing us how to slow down and watch out for wildlife!
Her cause is near and dear to our hearts because of another rescued green sea turtle named Chely. After a boat strike, Chely was rehabilitated by The Turtle Hospital and deemed non-releasable due to chronic buoyancy challenges. We're thrilled to provide a home for Chely and share his story at SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium.
Inspired by tough turtles like Chely and Little Money, we're taking on a tough challenge: racing 350 miles on stationary bikes to match the distance from SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium to Little Money Key!
Every donation gets us closer to our goal of keeping sea turtles safe!
Thank you!
