All Roads Lead to Clydesmill FS!

On 16th June, we will undertake an innovative North to South triathlon relay challenge to celebrate the SFR Family Support Trust’s Fundraising Week.

Our Teams aim to travel from SFR’s northerly and southerly boundaries and meet at Clydesmill Community Fire Station, covering a distance of around 190 miles in just one day.

To launch the triathlon, Watch Commander Karen Weir and her team will swim in open water from Kerrera to Oban; the second stage will continue with two teams of cyclists, led by Area Commander Paul Connelly and Station Commander Jeff Spencer setting off at exactly the same time from Oban and Colmonell respectively; a fourth team, led by DACO Jim Doyle (who was responsible for this whole event being organised following a conversation over a beer or two!!), will run from East Kilbride and all team members will head for the finishing line at Clydesmill Community Fire Station.
