Many of you will know that two years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and although I don`t need an excuse to party I wanted to hold a 40th Birthday bash as my way of saying thank you to all my wonderful friends and family for the support, love and laughter they have given me throughout.  From the cards, texts, jokes, bubbly, right through to the sparkly pink sick bucket, you have all inspired me to turn a nightmare into something positive.  So I`m laying on a party with buffet, fabulous entertainment by local band `Tobasco` and Shayne Prince as the immaculate voice of Elvis Presley.

The presence of my friends and family are more important to me than presents but I would be grateful to anyone wishing to donate in lieu of a gift to the people who have helped saved my life, The Genesis Appeal.  I` ve chosen this charity over cancer research simply because they are the only research unit who specialise in prevention of breast cancer.  Thank you for your donation, helping to make 1 in 10, none in 10.  Every penny will take us one step closer to making breast cancer a thing of the past for our daughters.
