Story

SPX Flow Newbury, a global manufacturing and industrial equipment supplier, voted West Berkshire Mencap as our charity of the year. We are teaming up with this great team to get dirty and muddy to raise funds & awareness!

Mencap are a passionate group of people committed to changing the world for everyone with a learning disability, their families and carers. They operate a safe and happy environment for children and adults, they also have ‘The Family Advisor Service’ which works with people with a learning disability and their parents/carers/families to help them achieve the services and support that they are entitled to, and last but not least, the Domiciliary Care & Housing which provides support and care to adults and children in their own homes and out in the community.

SPX Flow and Mencap are ready to take on the challenge of 10 Miles, 20+ Obstacles in Fawley, Henley on Thames. BUT don’t let this idyllic scenery fool you – we will be jumping into ice baths, crawling under barbed wire and through deep mud, entering tear gas filled huts, get stung by electric wires and more! And we will do it with a smile on our face.

Please help us raise funds for this fantastic charity so they can do even more for people with a learning disability, their families and their carers.

Updates will follow on the tough regime of training leading
to D-DAY!
