Story
Hello all!
We all work for Strategy, Transformation and Performance within UK Visas and Immigration, and we want to raise some money for the fantastic local charity Zoë's Place.
Zoë's Place Baby Hospice exists to provide a variety of palliative and respite services to support families of babies with life limiting or life threatening illnesses.
It costs £30 an hour to provide care for one child. The hospice has to rely heavily on donations to raise the £130,000 per month it needs to ensure that they are able to provide the level of support the families need. This is incredibly difficult in this current financial climate, so we are asking for everyone to please dig deep, and help us contribute as much as we can to make sure that the doors of Zoë's Place stay open, and they can continue to provide their tremendous level of support to their very special babies.
We're intending to abseil down one of Liverpool's most iconic buildings, the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral (a 150ft Freefall drop!), on Saturday 10th August. So feel free to come along and support us (or laugh at us)! We've paid for the registration ourselves, so 100% of the money raised will be going directly to Zoë's Place.
We'll be raising the sponsorship money over the next few months, and have a number of activities and events organised to help with the fundraising (which we will provide updates on through this page). So there'll be loads of opportunities to get involved and have a good time!
