SW Ladies Taking on Snowdon

Taking on Snowden · 4 August 2021
On Wednesday 04th August a small team of ladies will take on the challenge of walking up Mount Snowdon, this originally started out as a personal challenge for us all to show how far we have come over the last year. Anyone that knows us knows we are not mountain climbers but we know its all about one step at a time and supporting each other as we go with hopefully with lots of laughter and no tears or medical assistance.... Our little team consists on Lydia, Sinead, Vikki and myself (Lisa).
These wonderful ladies knowing how my daughter Rosie has been poorly over the last 3yrs suggested that we turn our little adventure into a fundraiser and that the donations go to a charity which is close to the Mansell family.
I am so proud that we are taking on this challenge for The Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity, this charity currently provides 80 specialist nurses across the UK to seriously ill children and young people who have long-term serious conditions that are often overlooked like Sickle Cell, Epilepsy, Rare Diseases, Neuro Muscular and Undiagnosed Conditions
Our Family is one of those families who are lucky to benefit from one of their nurses, Rosie's nurse Katrina is truly AMAZING and not only does she offer so much support for Rosie but us as a family. We would truly be lost without her and the bond she has built with Rosie makes every trip to hospital more bearable.
Every Child / Family should be able to benefit from the support of a Roald Nurse to help them through the challenges which comes from having a child with a long term illness - Any donation you could give helps towards making this possible for families like ours.
Every seriously ill child has the best possible healthcare.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
