Story
We are swimming (some of) Lake Windermere to raise money for
SWWOP (Sheffield Working Women's Opportunities Project), a charity close to our hearts. Sali is the Manager of SWWOP and Cathy a charity trustee. The great North swim is a big challenge for us. Sali has just celebrated her 60th birthday and has never swum proper lengths since she was at school. Cathy swims regularly but not in open water. The thought of wearing wetsuits and swimming in a cold lake brings chills to our bones.
SWWOP’s primary service is making contact with women involved in street prostitution and being a friendly face to offer non-judgemental and confidential support, information and signposting. Our service is now open to women involved in other forms of sex work who are also needing support.
SWWOP also provide intensive support to women wishing to exit their current lifestyle.
So please support us in raising money for this excellent cause.
