Story

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem

SYRIA – ORPHANS & WIDOWS

'The one who strives for widows and the poor is like the one who struggles in the way of Allah, or the one who stands in the night prayers and fasts during the day.' [Sahih al Bukhari]

The crisis in Syria is well into its third year. To date, the crisis has taken the lives of approximately 90,000 people. The crisis has left behind almost 55,000 widows and orphans. Brothers and sisters, it is an amanah and a responsibility upon us to extend our help to our brothers and sisters in Syria.

What’s heart breaking is seeing videos from our families and how they see and perceive the rest of the world, the rest of our ummah turn a blind eye towards them. How will we answer to Allah?

They are slaughtering our brothers and sisters without any reason except that they say laailaaha illAllah and that our Lord is Allah.

And because they hold firm onto the Book of Allah & the Sunnah of our Messenger SalAllahu alayhi wassalam.

Our fathers and brothers have been slaughtered. Our children murdered, our sisters disgraced and raped. O Ummah, how much more can we watch and sit back before we mobilise our efforts?

We must always remember that the bond of the kalimah is stronger than any other bond that can exist in this dunya. The sacrifice we would make for our families, for our parents and our children should be the concern and efforts we make for our families in Syria as well.

We are ONE UMMAH, their pain is our pain and their happiness is our happiness.

Ummah Welfare Trust is urgently appealing for funds to help our brothers and sisters, and in particular the widows and orphans of Syria.

The charity is now establishing a centre inside Syria to support widowed and orphaned families. The centre will house 100 families, catering for their every need inshaAllah.

Families will be provided with mattresses, clothing, blankets, kitchen utensils, hygiene kits and given freshly cooked food twice a day.

The centre will have a masjid, free schooling for children and segregated toilet facilities. Families will also have access to a permanent supply of water

FOR JUST £30/month, you can support a widow or Orphan and cover all their daily needs & essentials including:

-    -  Water, Electricity, Education, cooked food and hygiene packs

Our Aim with Allah's Help is to try and support 100 widows and Orphans in Syria - by sponsoring each of them for an entire year to meet all their daily needs insha'Allah.

To sponsor an Orphan or widow for an entire year - it is JUST £360!

Let us not forget the reward and excellence of looking after an Orphan: Our Messenger SalAllahu alayhi wassalam said:

"I and the guardian of an orphan will be in the Garden like these two." (His two fingers) [Bukhari]

And let us remember that we may be making their dunya – but they are certainly making our Akhira.

May Allah Reward you immensely for your generosity. Please dig deep into your hearts and deeper into your pockets and please give for the sake of Allah. Whether in this world or the next, you will definitely see the fruits of your actions.

In their time of dire need – please answer their call insha’Allah.

Zakah is Accepted

May Allah Always Keep you happy just as you will bring many smiles onto the faces of our brothers and sisters in Syria. Ameen.
