I am raising money for a water plant for my late grandad. · 9 May 2020

Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre aims to Inspire, Educate and Serve the local community and worldwide and to encourage others to Inspire, Educate and Serve. We aim to Inspire people to faith and to increase in faith through Talks, Social Media, various Social Activities and our Young Ummah program We aim to Educate Muslims and non-Muslims, both young and old about the true Islamic teachings. We aim to encourage the worship of Allah (Glory be to Him) and to Serve the community.

Story

My Grandfather - Bagh Ali

My grandfather, Bagh Ali, was a father, brother, uncle, grandfather and a great grandfather. He was known in the community and was an ardent worshipper at Green Lane Masjid.  He had a tremendous love for Islam and Muslims 

Sadaqah Jariyyah - Ongoing Charity - Water Filtration Plant in Bagh, Kashmir - Pakistan

I thought it would be great if we all got together, all those that knew him and loved him, and gave charity on his behalf to build a water filtration plant that would benefit him in his afterlife.

The water plant project is run by Taskforce GLM, in partnership with Islamic Relief.  It will be built in Bagh in Kashmir and will provide clean filtered drinking water to around 500 families a day.  You can read more about the Water Project at https://www.taskforceglm.org/product/water/
