Bonnies amazing walkers, Emma, Beth, Beckie, Faye, Emily, Emma, Chloe, Natasha, Chloe, Joe, Zoe, Lara and Mahmoud, thank you for all the support guys :)
In memory of the beautiful Sallie Anne Lunn. Sadly in January 2013 I found out that not only was I going to lose my mum, but I was going to lose my best friend, my inspiration, my everything.
My mum got given 2 months to live, after finding out she had a very rare type of thyroid cancer. But I am so proud to say she made it 5 extra months, and passed away by our side at 6:30pm on 5th July 2013. She was so determined, and never gave up. She made all the dates she wanted, and I will never forget any of the last days with her.
In her memory I will be doing the Marsden March for her, alongside my amazing and supportive friends, hoping to raise enough money to help save people's life.
When being with mum in her last few days at the Marsden, she made great friends, and was in the best hands. I genuinely couldn't have asked for better people to look after her, which is another reason why I want to do this march, in order to say a massive thank you from me, my family and my mum as well.
Whilst doing the Marsden March a few years back my mum, alongside her friends thought of an amazing idea, to set up a 'Mini Marsden March' for her school to do, in order to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital. I'm so proud to say because of this she helped to raise over £21,000, so I know that doing the Marsden March 2014 is going to put a massive smile on her face. I know if my mum was here now she would be trying her hardest to raise as much money as we can, so I am going to follow in her footsteps and help to raise money and find a cure, so other people don't loose precious mums, best friends or idols.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you can help in memory of my amazing mum.
I love you mum!
