Story
Hey guys!!
This year has been a tough year for our family. My best friend, my wonderful mum, was diagnosed with an incurable cancer-Myeloma.
Myeloma is a blood cancer. It is known as the 'hidden' blood cancer that originates in the bone marrow. It does not appear as a lump or tumour, hence how it can remain "hidden" for some time. My mission is to raise awareness whilst raising crucial funds to help Myeloma UK in their research for this devastating illness.
Over the next few months, there will be lots going on including cake sales, raffles, charity market stall, pub crawls, climbing snowdon, 21 miles for myeloma - possibly going to swim this! Also, i will not be buying gifts for christmas this year and I'll donate the money instead. We'll keep you updated. If you lovely people can help me get to 5 figures I will brave the shave on the 21/03/19
Ways in which you can help are.... by donating on the just giving page, cash and cheques - to be made payable to myeloma uk. Donate raffle items or saleable items for stalls. If you would join us with upcoming events, it would be much appreciated. If anyone would like to join us for the 21 miles for myeloma or for snowdon, i have sponsor forms here. Contact me if you'd like more information.
My family had never heard of Myeloma until the day of mum's diagnosis. Every one of us never truly believes it will ever affect us, until it hits. Please donate and take part in what ever way you can.... let's stand up to cancer!!
