****UPDATE******

So my sister Amy was unable to run the Sheffield 10km with Laura and co as she had some post baby muscular issues which she needed to recover from but the girl has made a comeback!!! She is currently running like the wind and training like a demon as well as being a super star nurse and mother to two wee ones!

Amy will be running the Sheffield Half marathon on the 14th April. This is an amazing challenge for Amy, this being her first race since both babies and also her first half...and she plans to storm round it too! We are very proud of her and as with all of us she is motivated and driven by honouring the memory of our Dad Xx 

My sisters and I, with the support of our lovely family and friends, are taking part in a number of  running races/ challenges to raise money in memory of our  lovely dad. 

On October 11th 2017 our dad was involved in a car accident which he did not survive. Our hearts were completely broken that day as we lost our amazing dad. We were so so lucky to have him and we couldn’t  have asked for a better one.

That day was the darkest one we have ever faced. We do know though that the Notts and Lincs air ambulance did their very best for him, just as they do when they attend serious accidents every day. Their work literally saves lives and we want to say thank you for that. 

The last day we all spent together as a family happened to be about running , as it was when I completed my first marathon -  the Yorkshire marathon. My dad was there to cheer me on and I know he was very proud, as I’m sure he will be of all of us as we complete these next races, in memory of him.

Laura and Amy will be taking on the toughest challenge of a post- new baby race! They are running the Sheffield 10k in September 23rd along with a number of our brilliant friends and family, 

Our brilliant friends Nash and Will are running the Holmfirth 10k in October, also a post-baby challenge! 

I will be running the North Yorkshire Trail Marathon on September 29th ( my first trail marathon) and either the London or Manchester marathon in 2019

Tom will be running the London or Manchester marathon in 2019 and will be looking to go sub 3 hours to make it a challenge
