Reading Challenge

Sam Rogers is raising money for The Habbit Factory

Sam’s Reading Challenge · 2 June 2022

The Habbit Factory (THF) works with some of the most disadvantaged and excluded children and young people (CYP) in the London borough of Havering. Our work is designed and delivered around the principles of inclusivity, a commitment to work with every CYP regardless of the barriers they face.

Story

I’m currently both a member and blue tee (volunteer) at The Habbit Factory. I’ve been here since September 2013. The Habbit Factory was the catalyst to me finding my true self and helps so many other individuals express themselves through theatre. To get the best out of our upcoming shows every member has been set a fundraising target relative to the number of members in their age category.

I currently have a to be read (and re-read) pile of over 30 books that I haven’t had a chance to read due to studying commitments. Now I’m finished with uni I have challenged myself to see how many of these books I can read in the month of June. My starting target is 6 books, 1 for each week plus an extra one for weekend reading.
