Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please support Paula and John in running the Reading half marathon on Sunday 19th March 2017 in aid of NW Blood Bikes.

They are supporting NW Blood Bikes because these unsung heroes save lives every week throughout the North West.

NW Blood Bikes are a group of volunteers who collect and deliver urgently needed supplies of blood, platelets, medication, donor breast milk, patient notes etc., between NHS hospitals without charge. With the exception of delivering donor breast milk during daytime hours, they only operate out of normal working hours, when the NHS transport staff are unavailable, mainly through the night and 24 hrs at Weekends and Bank Holidays.

NW Blood Bikes needs to grow to meet the increasing demands being placed upon it, but this growth is restricted by its ability to fund and maintain the service. Your donation will help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
