Story

I have decided to run the Great South Run for the charity Mind on October 25th.

As many of you know a great friend, Victor Feinstein, who was suffering from depression recently took his life.  Vic played a huge part in all of our lives in Leeds and back at home, and not a day has gone by that he isn't missed and remembered.  When I look back through all of our photos of the great times shared with V, especially our Tenerife ones, I realise how little I knew of the pain he was experiencing and as a result what little was done to help.

Mind is the UKs largest mental health charity and focuses it's resources on helping people take control of their mental health as well as raising awareness of mental health issues.  I have focused my fundraising on the Leeds branch of Mind, for in a city with so many students away from home and with so much pressure to perform I have seen first hand how people's problems can be magnified whilst going unnoticed.

On 25th October a group of us are running in memory of Vic, the 'race' is 10 miles long and is taking place in Portsmouth.  I understand that many of you will have already been asked by others running to donate to Mind so I'm asking for donations of any size, even a pound is a great contribution.
