Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I recently stopped playing hockey and I haven't done any real exercise since mid October. I wanted to get properly fit again, and I'm quite competitive, so I decided to sign up to the Edinburgh Half Marathon (on 29th May 2016) to give myself a challenge.
Alongside this a colleague of mine was recently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. It's inspiring to see her positive outlook and I urge you to read her story:

I'm trying to follow her lead by raising awareness, but I would also like to raise funds too, so please donate if you can. It will help me with my training and on the day to know that I'm making a contribution to the charity.
Cancer affects us all. My dad was treated for testicular cancer thirty years ago and is still here today. I'm forever grateful for the work done by so many people that I've never met that helped make that happen. I know that Macmillan Cancer Support provide a variety of fantastic services, so please donate and help them to continue to do so. They rely on fundraisers for 99% of their support.
Thank you,
Sam
