Mary Stevens Hospice provides specialist holistic care free of charge for adults with life-limiting illnesses and their families in the Dudley Borough. More than 80% of the £3.5m annual costs are paid for by donations and funds raised by supporters from a compassionate, local community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

For those which aren't aware, my beautiful, talented and greatly adored wife Kate sadly lost her life last December, having battled with enormous courage and bravery to withstand Leukaemia for a third time.

Kate's was an incredible story. She twice saw off Leukaemia in her 20s and lived a tremendously full and active life from that moment on, proving an inspiration to many of us with her compassion for others and her love for a family which idolised her.

In her final chapter, she was beautifully and tenderly cared for by the nurses and doctors at Mary Steven's Hospice who supported Kate and our family during the worst of times with great love, empathy and compassion.

In recognition of their wonderful and continuing care Jon and I, as co-hosts of the Oddscrackers podcast, would like to raise some funds for the Hospice through this Cheltenham Festival donations page.

As you know, our weekly podcast is completely free of charge, but if you have enjoyed any of our shows from the last 12 months and feel like donating to a terrific cause we would be hugely grateful.

Andy Holding will be our guest for this year's Cheltenham edition and he found a raft of winners 12 months ago so we are hopeful of a repeat showing!

Many thanks for your continued support, Sam and Jon.
