Story

Dear All

My name is Sam Sporborg, I am 17 years old and I am going to be biking for 12 hours straight for a charity called Lymphoma Action, covering around 175 miles.

I am doing this is because, in November last year, I lost my darling first cousin, Ella Howell, to Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. It was a devastating for us all, and it happened so quickly that I couldn’t even say goodbye to her–nine months from diagnosis to death and leaving behind a six-month-old son, a loving family and many friends.

I am going to bike for 12 hours straight, raising as much money as I can for Lymphoma Action, They are the only charity that is dedicated to Lymphoma in the UK, which is the fifth most common cancer and they are making sure they provide members of the public with the right in-depth, expert information which will make sure that no one faces lymphoma on their own.

The plan is for me to bike for 12 hours straight on the 10th July 2020, following a local 11-mile loop throughout this time period. This will include taking no proper breaks, except for filling up my water bottle and refilling my pockets with snacks every few hours!

This is going to be a big challenge, and I will need all the support I can get, so please donate anything you can (even the smallest bit will make a big difference to me) and please spread the word to as many people as you can, either through sharing this Justgiving page, Instagram page (12_Hour_Cycle_Challenge) or even just through general word of mouth.

Many thanks for your support; it is much appreciated.
