Story

I'm Sam, and I score goals. So I decided that there's no better way to celebrate a goal than to donate money to a great cause close to my heart?!

Thanks to social media, friends, teammates, strangers, the hockey family, the cricket community, and even athletics, what started as a £50/goal pledge has grown massively, with people even donating on behalf of goals scored by their favourite football team!

Martin's recurrence of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma during the 2013/2014 season was devastating news having played his way back into what went on to be a league winning Beeston side, scoring and creating many goals in important games early in the campaign.

In April 2014 Martin was admitted to The Christie Hospital where, after a week of intensive chemotherapy, he received donor stem cells from across the pond in America. He is currently in a very long recovery process as his new immune system attempts to settle in.
