Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Four and a half years ago Sam was very fortunate to meet a truly inspirational young lady in the cardiac intensive care unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Her name was Isabelle she had cystic fibrosis and she had just had a bilateral lung transplant. Sam got to know Isabelle and her family very well over the years and always loved Isabelle's stubbornness and fight for life.
Isabelle was a keen fund raiser herself and loved making and decorating cakes and these donations she sent to charities in particular those that took in abandoned and unwanted animals. She even had a dog called Blossom from one of these charities.
Isabelle loved showing funny clips of animals when Sam would come and see her on the ward and they would sit giggling about dogs being scared of cats or cats being scared of cucumbers. Isabelle would also show pictures and videos of her own dogs at home.
During COVID Isabelle used another of her skills by making the most amazing decorated face masks to raise even more money and for those of us who were very lucky we had special deliveries as gifts.
Very sadly on the 1st February this year Isabelle could fight no more. Her funeral donations went to the CF Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Isabelle though would have much rather they went to an animal shelter and her mum Jo has suggested we raise for the Happy Pants Ranch.
Sam and Jo will also be supporting the CF Trust on their ride by wearing their cycling tops which allow people to text through a donation of £5 by texting TEAMCF to 70700.
