Samaritans' local branch/call centre covers Pendle/Burnley/Craven and Rossendale. By far the vast majority of our funding comes from our Bookstall in Colne market...since the lockdown income stopped overnight. Our unpaid volunteers man the phones 24/7 - day and night offering a listening ear to an ever growing number of emotionally vulnerable callers during these especially challenging times.

Although we are run by unpaid volunteers, we are in all other respects a business, with overheads, capital costs, from rent, utilties, marketing etc. Please help our office remain open. On behalf of our callers - Thank you.
