Cutting hair short

Sami Rahman Reeves is raising money for Heart Of Kent Hospice
In memory of Mashiur Rahman
We know that terminal illness turns lives upside-down. We help people live as well as possible for as long as possible and ensure their final days are comfortable and peaceful. We support families, friends and carers too. We depend on your kindness for 80% of the cost of delivering our services.

Story

In mid April 2019 I found out that my daddy had stomach cancer and that he couldn't be cured.

I am an 11 year old boy. I was 10 years old when he passed away.

He was in and out of hospital for a few weeks. My daddy had his stomach removed but that didn't help him, it just became an issue to eat. He had to be fed through a bag as his intestines had become blocked. Over time he lost a lot of weight and it was clear that he wasn't going to last very long. In June I was told that he had to go into a hospice as he wasn't going to live. My daddy was an amazing man, he was a police officer and worked in the intelligence unit. He was a police officer for over 20 years. I was so proud of him. He died on the 28th June 2019 at the age of 49. I had 9 weeks left with him from diagnoses to him passing away. I miss him everyday. As a thank you to the heart of kent hospice in Aylesford, Kent, I am cutting off my long hair which I've kept growing over the last year for this purpose. The hair will then be donated to the "Princess charity" to make wigs for children with cancer.

Please help me raise money for this fantastic charity. They made my daddy very comfortable in his last weeks and days. Thank you to the Heart Of Kent hospice.
