Unfortunately early this year I lost my Grandad to a Diabetes related illness. He really was a truly inspirational man and left a lasting impression on those he met. He battled with Diabetes for a long time and the charity really helped to better his quality of life, so this means a lot to us.

Now we are two people with about the running ability of a snail, so doing this will be an immense challenge both physically and mentally. Over the past 2 months we have put in a lot of blood, sweat and tears trying to increase our running distance, all of the time knowing we are doing it for such a great cause.

So we beg you to dig deep and give as much as you can because Grandad played such a vital role in both of our lives. He always gave a helping hand to others and now we want to do the same for him!
