We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

We all know I love a drink, and my motto is go hard or go home, but since my birthday in June I've consumed more than the average, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to raise some money for my chosen charity, and have a bit of a detox.

Most people know the reason why I support Chron's and Colitis, but just in case you don't: my husband was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis last year, after many years of suffering going undiagnosed. Unfortunately, in March 2017, after a long and tormenting stay in hospital, and a lot of extreme medication, his condition was so severe it resulted in the removal of his colon.

He now lives an amazing life with his ostomy bag, but this could have been prevented if GP's knew more about this horrific condition.

Your donation will go towards educating staff within the NHS to spot the warning signs of inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's, and hopefully prevent more people from going through what my husband went through.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
