Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I have now completed my second year of training at The of Dramatic Art (RADA) and I am currently seeking funding for my third year of the three-year degree.

I have been involved in theatre in now for almost 10 years.  I successfully completed a National Diploma in Acting at from which I gained Distinction as my overall grade. Also at I was lucky enough to work with Stephen Ayckbourn on a very exciting project of his, ‘ Fashions’ which I directed and also played the role of ‘Hermes’. I have performed at all three theatres in as well as working professionally in Stevenage and . My other credits at include Benedick- Much about Nothing, Herod- Oscar Wilde’s Salome and Vershinin- Three Sisters.

My second year i have to say has been the toughest so far! As well as maintaining all class work from the first year, a number of performance projects were added to the schedule. My first production was a play adapted from the Christopher Isherwood novel Mr. Norris Changes Trains. Set in occupied - 1945 this play tells the story of the corrupt Vie mar Republic during World War II. The next was Shakespeare's Henry IV Parts I and II in which i played the lead roles of Falstaff and King Henry. A huge challenge for me playing characters much older than my self, however i believe i gained lots of experience from this particular production and my passion for Shakespeare grew in the process. To follow this was Ted Hughes' adaptation of the Greek Classic Heracles, in which i played the title role. My biggest challenge to date as i had to intensely study the Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome in order to understand the character in as much detail as was required. I met many soldiers from and in order to get a glimpse of how this illness affected them and their lives. My next production was Brinsley's School for Scandal, in which i played Sir Peter Teazle. A fantastic production with a fantastic director Selina Cadell. She taught me so much and allowed me to really cherish language and never neglect its importance. My final major project of the year was Shakespeare's Macbeth. I was given the roles of Banquo and the drunken Porter to which i was very pleased. Two complete different characters which enabled me to show my versatility. This production was my first public performance which agents, casting direct and the general public were invited to see. I was lucky enough to be asked to meet an agency after the performances and am in discussions with them at the moment. A very successful year ending on a high note.

The contact time at RADA is very high, in excess of 45-50 hours per week in the second year, which does not take into account the amount of time to be undertaken in the evenings in preparation for the following day or weekend rehearsal/production set up. As, unlike students on many other degree courses where the contact time is much less, it is not feasible to undertake part time work during term time; therefore I solely have to rely on sponsorship as an alternative.

I have recently applied for a means tested student loan, which will cover the mandatory fee cost of £3,145, set by RADA and also the bulk of my living expenses. However, living expenses are estimated to be between £9,500- £10,000 (based on the cost of 52 weeks rent) for the year and my student loan would not be able to cover the entire cost. I therefore need to have a minimum of £13,145 to cover both the mandatory fee and my living expenses. The maximum amount I am eligible for from the student loan company is £6,475 so I now have set myself a target of fundraising at least £5,000 over the next 8 weeks.

I would be extremely grateful if you could make some form of donation towards my living expenses. Hopefully with your help I will be able to make a start. No amount is too small to be of no value to me, literally every penny will help.

Any sponsors will be written to officially from RADA informing you of any upcoming events at the Academy and also with regular updates of my progress. Also, any sponsor donating more than £1000 will be invited to special events at The Academy.

Thank you for your time.
