Story

Hi, thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.

As you might already know, I’ll be running the London Marathon on 26th April 2020 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s a fantastic charity which offers such incredible support, care and guidance and having experienced the devastating loss of my wonderful Dad to cancer in 2018, is one which really resonates with me.

We didn’t have much warning with my Dad, he was diagnosed in June 2018 and we lost him in August 2018, so although we had time to say goodbye, it felt cruelly fast.

I have always wanted to run the marathon, but have never had the impulse to put myself forward until now. The loss of my Dad has given me the motivation I needed, so I’m grabbing the opportunity with both hands, hoping that I do him proud. I’m sure he’ll be watching from above, supporting from the sidelines like he used to do for all my football and rugby matches.

I’m hoping to raise £2,500 for Macmillan and will be so grateful for every penny you can donate towards this fantastic charity.

Thank you, from myself and my family to yours.

Sam
