We offer social activities and advice to give support to children with Autism

Story

Since joining PAS last year, I've been fortunate enough to be part of an amazing organisation that does so much to support children and young people with ASD. With Autism Awareness Month fast approaching, I've decided to join in with the fundraising efforts in my own small way.

I hate running and most sporting activities, so a marathon or 5k was never going to be on the cards at this short notice, so I had to think of something that would still have an impact on me but not involve sweating and puffing round a course. I really, really like my hair and a bad haircut has previously been enough to ruin my day/week/month. So naturally, I'm going to have it dyed purple for the whole of April and then at the end of Autism Awareness Month, I'm going to shave it off - if I raise a minimum of £300. I don't have long, flowing locks, so it might not seem like a big deal but to me it really is - I'm basically going to look like Phil Mitchell crossed with a potato until my hair grows back in.

So feel free to spread the word and get donating. Even if you don't like me, you can have the satisfaction of knowing you have contributed to an awesome charity while also taking away my beloved hair.
