From Sandra: Inspired by my Mum, who has volunteered with FOCSA for many years, and in memory of my aunt Myriam, who we unexpectedly and very sadly lost this year, I’m giving the half marathon another go. Knee injuries, covid and a return to travel have hindered my training so I won’t be breaking any records, but if I can help FOCSA a little then I”ll do my best

From FOCSA: We receive many requests for donations from poorly-funded hospitals and other NGOs with scarce resources that assist children across Colombia. A medical adviser panel reviews the requests and we prioritise them based on the need, type of equipment and number of children that will benefit. After we have made a donation, we organise regular follow-up visits to ensure the equipment is used adequately.
