Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

As most of you know, I have been recovering from Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome since July 2020.  More recently I have been suffering with the psychological impact and synkinesis  stage of facial palsy and have had to take more time off work.  I would not have made the progress I have so far without the help of Facial Palsy UK who not only have a fantastic website full of useful information but also run group support sessions via Zoom for others recovering from FP.  Facial Palsy UK also helped me secure a referral to a Specialist Facial Therapist out of the Cumbria area and for that I am very grateful.

When I saw the Great Run Solo advertised by Facial Palsy UK on Facebook, I thought it would be an ideal opportunity for me to raise funds for this vital charity.  The challenge is to run 14 or more times between 1-28 February which may be a challenge in itself given the winter weather we are experiencing, in fact it is sleeting now!

It would be lovely to receive your donations no matter how small to continue helping Facial Palsy UK make a different to FP sufferers.

Thank you,

Sandra xx
