Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I lost my lovely mum Barbara to breast cancer on January 19 this year.

During her brave battle with the illness - she received great treatment at the Cancer Centre. Every time she had to go to hospital, if she knew she was going to end up there it cheered her up massively.

It was one of mum's last wishes that people should donate to the charity instead of sending flowers when it came to her funeral - and we want to carry on her wishes by continuing to raise money for this great cause in her memory.

We've got a great relay team together. Some of us are very fit (em...not me) while others only run when it's last orders at the bar (me).

All we want to do is complete the course in a decent time and raise some cash for the Cancer Centre.

Anything you can donate, even if it's just a few quid, will go straight to the Cancer Centre if you donate on this site. We'd just be so grateful for anything you can spare, no matter how little!

My mum was a very selfless lady who never forgot about everyone else, even when she was going through hell. Now, we want to make sure she's never forgotten by doing something great in her memory.

Thanks so much,

Sara
