Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

You probably know us pretty well if you're here! We're Sara and Lee, and between us, we have over two decades of experience volunteering with Cricket Without Boundaries. In that time, we have see the organisation develop and grow, reaching more young people and becoming more participatory, addressing new issues that are relevant to the communities the organisation serves, and expanding into new areas and regions.

Throughout that time, we've been privileged to see how the work of Cricket Without Boundaries, alongside their cricket association parters, has genuinely changed lives - from former child soldier school students who now have a positive, structured and safe community arising from their involvement through cricket, to girls who have gone on to represent their country and cricket and with it brought in income that secures the financial future of their family.

We're fundraising now to help keep that work alive. As an organisation CWB works on a remarkably shoe-string budget, with limited overheads and a real emphasis on spending for implementation on the ground. Every penny really does make a difference. Thank you for your support.

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
