Story
Able Child Africa plays a key role in supporting local partners to protect, educate and empower children with disabilities in the countries where we work. This year we captured the story of Rose and her parents in Malawi. When Rose's parents discovered their first daughter was born with cerebral palsy, they didn't know what to do. They had never seen a child with a disability before and faced with the stigma that surrounds disability, Rose was hidden away. Our project in partnership with FEDOMA is reaching out to other families like Rose's to help identify children with disabilities in rural Malawi and ensure they get the help they so desperately need.

Able Child Africa (UK registered charity) works to secure equal rights for children with disabilities in Africa. We work in partnership with local organisations in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia and Malawi to ensure children with disabilities are empowered to fulfill their full potential.
