Story

Cancer sucks!

That is what was on the shocking purple T shirt my not-so-baby Brother was wearing when he picked me up at Atlanta airport. It was also on the wrist band, my nephew Oliver wears. How very American, how very true.

Sharon was taken from us all in April. Soulmate to my brother, Mum to Oliver & Frances. She was 43. Cancer sucks.

Oliver is the lucky one - he fought courageously. He won.

To do a stage of the Tour de France has been an ambition of mine for some time. To dedicate it to my family, makes it even more poignant. So, Oliver, this is for you just as much as it is for the rest of our family this pernicious disease has stolen from us.
