Stacey Thaw and I will be running the 10k Race for Life in Maidstone on Saturday 9th July 2011.

My Dad and Stacey's mother-in-law both passed away last Christmas.  Dad passed away 4 weeks after being diagnosed, and Carol fought a long hard battle against cancer.

Dad had a rare type of bone cancer called Chrondosarcoma.  This is a form of cancer that specialists were unable to operate on.  Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are also ineffective on this type of cancer. 

More research needs to be done in to the pain relief and treatment of all cancers, simply to give hope to others facing the situation that my Dad, Mum, brother and I found ourselves in.  I will be donating all funds raised in memory of Dad.
