I cycle every day and I met my husband on a cycling holiday...but twelve years and two children later, I don't cycle far and Bedfordshire is flat.  But I reckon that I can still manage some quite substantial distances with big climbs for a good cause. 

My offer from Hertford was two Es at A-level - on the strength of an interview only.  This was because Hertford set out to encourage state school pupils to apply to Oxford.  And it is still encouraging those pupils even though the odds against them are arguably worse.  All the money that I raise from completing the ride goes to this cause.
