It's that end of summer time again, when the water is still warm (we hope!) and it's time to take on another swim challenge!  This time Thalia has been roped in too with a few thousand other crazy people willing to dodge geese (and their pooh!) to swim a mile around the Serpentine!

We are raising funds for Carers Worldwide, a small charity working with carers in India, Nepal and Bangladesh.  If any of you have ever had to look after a sick or elderly relative or friend you will know how difficult it is.  There isn't enough support anywhere in the world, but in countries like Nepal which suffered a terrible earthquake in 2015 thousands are still coping with the aftermath with no support at all.  Women tend to take no the lion share of caring, Carers Worldwide provide them with invaluable support.   Children often have no choice but to care for their siblings or family members when they should be at school... that's tough!

Even a small donation will make a huge difference, just £5 will send a child carer to school for a month....£10 will unable a self help group to be set up with training.   If you pay UK tax you can add gift aid to that too....  and here's the exciting bit... the great team at EQ Investors, who are trailblazing positive impact investing, are prepared to match any funds we raise.  

So let's get cracking, we want to send lots of child carers to school so they can recapture a little of their childhood and reach their potential!
