Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why I am going sober for october and fundraising for Sign Health? :-

After 6 months of drinking every day during lockdown, I needed to take the plunge and go sober for a decent amount of time, to help out my liver!

I saw the advert on TV, Go Sober4October and thought, 'Yes, I need to do this!' But, I am weak so I need a commitment. I decided to do it for charity so I won't slip off into the pub.

I chose Sign Health as my charity because I admire what they do, especially for mental health services. I passionately believe that Deaf people have the right to counselling or therapy in their first language. Sign Health provides this but they need more funds to offer more services to more Deaf people who rely on BSL for communication.
