I am raising money for the Neonatal Ward at Birmingham Womens hospital after they saved both my boys lives. Jack was born at 36 weeks and spent time on the neonatal ward and Joseph was born at 28 weeks weighing only 2lbs 10oz. He spent 6 weeks on the neonatal ward before spending a further 2 weeks on the transition ward with me before coming home a month before his actual due date!

My waters broke at 28 weeks and being told at only 6 months pregnant that my baby was going to be born was the scariest thing ever, but all the staff did everything they could to support me through it.

One of the hardest days was having to leave Joseph on the neonatal ward when I was discharged. Nobody wants to leave hospital without their baby after giving birth. The nurses were amazing and cared for him so well when I wasn't there and also put up with my phones calls throughout the night to check how he was when I was up expressing milk!

They not only cared for Joseph but also for me, Charlie and Jack too at an incredibly difficult time for all of us and we are forever grateful.
