Sarah's New York City Marathon page for OSCAR's

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 6th November I’m running the world-famous New York Marathon, one of my bucket list life events.
I eagerly signed up in 2019 to run in Nov 2020, the 50th anniversary of the New York Marathon, however the pandemic got in the way. Now a little older and carrying a lot more injuries, the training has been a tough psychological and physical journey.
I’m running the New York Marathon for OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity.
As many of you already know I am exceptionally proud to be one of the founding trustees of the charity and so passionate about the work that we are able to do.
The charity was set up in 2014 after my friend Marie’s son Oscar died of a brain tumour aged 9. My daughter Lily & Oscar were great friends and grew up sharing many fun family weekends and holidays together.
The work that we fund is so important to the children and their families that are going through treatment and recovery from a brain tumour.
