I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October to raise sponsorship and awareness for the incredible support that Brighter Futures offers within our community.

Brighter Futures is a local charity supporting parents, families and young people in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Working alongside the main carer, Brighter Futures' educational model provides the fundamental tools required to cope.

Supporting 150 families at any one time, Brighter Futures focuses on 3 key areas;

Second chance learning programmes, providing the skills required to progress and succees in education, work and life;

Parent - child relationships, helping clients recognise and value their role as their child's first and most important mentor and educator;

And mental health and wellbeing programmes, which support social and emotional wellbeing.

Sadly, there is a significant and ever growing social divide within our community, therefore the services offered by Brighter Futures are becoming increasingly crucial in boosting social mobility and creating brighter futures for Jersey families.
