Hartley Wintney to Paris Bike Ride 2010 · 2 September 2010 ·

St John's Church is the parish church in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney. In April 2012, the church commenced the building of a new £2.3m Church Centre, which, when completed in June 2013, will provide new facilities for our church and wider community. Please help us to raise the final 20%.

This is my biggest challenge ever and I'm really excited about doing it.    For those of you that know me well you will know that I have always been very sporty and up for a challenge.   During my youth my time was taken up with BMX racing, in which I was 7 times British, 4 time European and 1 time World Champion.  The past 22 years I went from a bike to Skates and have been playing Ice Hockey at national and international level during this time.

At the ripe old age of 39,  I took on the Challenge of Bramley Iron Mum, which involved cycling, running and a weighted sprint finish,  I finished 4th but the challenge was completing the event.

I'm now taking on the Hartley Whitney to Paris Bike challenge, a 200 mile journey, completed over 4 days.  This is from 2nd -5th September.  I am raising money for St John's Church in Hartley Whitney,
