It's coming up to that time of year when I will be donning a wet suit and a very fetching lime green swimming cap and jumping into Salford Quays to swim a mile in open water. 

As a member of the Manchester PA Network,  on 4 July I am swimming to help raise money for The Christie. 

So bring on the rain, swimming through seaweed, litter and swallowing quay water, it's all for a good cause!
