We use music, clowning, magic and dance to give the gift of laughter to lonely kids

Story

Thousands of children are experiencing severe trauma in the refugee camps across Europe. Their childhood has been brutally snatched by conflict and violence. These children need to feel good again, to have a sense of joy, lightness and hope.

The Flying Seagulls do everything they can to give them this; through circus skills and games workshops, to interactive performances and learning opportunities, giving these children and their families a reason to play, laugh and smile.

Following on from their work in the refugee camps in early 2016, they are going to return to Greece in September 2016 and set up a space for at least three months to have a safe and solid presence for the children. I want to raise as much money as possible for them. I will also be helping at the camp myself.

We need to let these children know that the world hasn't forgotten them. Please support The Flying Seagull Project.

About the charity

We believe that it is everyone’s right to put aside the cares of life and smile for a while. We work with marginalised groups to bring smiles and laughter, whether as Clown Doctors for children undergoing difficult medical treatments or through arts, music and crafts workshops and shows.
