Sarah-Lynne's running for Leukaemia UK

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
As many people will know my Grandpa, Peter Gallaher, sadly passed away on Tuesday 12th December 2017 after battling Acute Leukaemia (a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow).
Peter was a hard-working man, a belly-aching comedian, an exciting storyteller, a faithful servant, a devoted husband and an awesome Grandpa! He took pride in being able to spend lots of time with his wife, 3 children, and 8 grandchildren whenever he could – he was all about making memories.
I will be running the London Marathon 2019 to help raise money and awareness for Leukaemia UK so that more research can be done to finding a cure and better treatments for Leukaemia and other blood cancers.
Someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 14 minutes. That’s more than 34,000 people every year. At Leukaemia UK, they understand that behind every diagnosis are families and individuals who need help. They support those affected by blood cancer, and their family and friends, through the physical, psychological and financial uncertainty that lies ahead.
Please help me support this fantastic charity. Anything you can donate will be so gratefully received.
This is for you Grandpa xx
