Story

Sarah Horton, Katie Windmill, Alex Hurley and myself are running to raise money for Edwards Trust.  Edwards Trust supported my family after I lost my precious son.  It was a sudden death (meningitis).  I attended support groups where I was allowed to just cry and cry without any judgement or anyone telling me it was going to be ok.  I also got much comfort from the annual remembrance services held during the Christmas period.  These services allowed me to get many emotions out so I was able to cope with Christmas much better.  My family and I also went on an outing with other bereaved families.  Although I don't attend meetings or groups anymore, I feel they played a big part in me putting my life back together as best I could.  It is a safe place to go when everywhere else feels scary.  I believe that God gave me what I needed when I needed it and this includes support from Edwards Trust.  I want other families to experience the support and comfort that I received during the worse time of my life.  Please support me and my friends by giving to Edwards Trust.
